FUMC Decatur Offers Multiple Adult Class Opportunities
A diverse group of married and single adults with leader-guided Bible study and open discussion; a historical and theological investigation of Christianity and other religions.
Room 103-105 (First Floor)
Long-term and newcomers alike find great fellowship in this senior ladies’ class. A visiting leader each Sunday guides Bible study and discussion using printed biblical curriculum.
Room 300 (Third Floor)
An active group of married and single young adults utilizing short Bible session studies with relevant topic-driven discussion. Many attendees to this class have small children and youth involved in our church as well.
Room 209 (Second Floor)
A group of ladies in the “admitting to 50” age group. Active on projects and attentive to the needs of the local church and community. They study the Bible and printed biblical curriculum; some class members take turns leading lessons and open discussion.
Cross & Flame
Room 307 (Third Floor)
An accepting mix of “Baby Boomers” welcoming both married and single individuals. A relaxed, informal group, active in both community and church life. Focused on fellowship and leader-guided Bible study using printed biblical curriculum and other theological resources, with open, thought-provoking discussion.
Room 309 (Third Floor)
An active group of “Baby Boomers” involved in outreach and social functions, such as Bingo with the Senior Citizens every second Saturday. Utilizing leader guided Bible study using printed biblical curriculum, with very open discussion.
Room 100 (Fellowship Hall)
Men of all ages, backgrounds, and viewpoints, coming together to grow in their understanding of God and Jesus Christ and of how to be better disciples in today’s world. This class focuses on lectures and discussion Bible study using printed Bible curriculum, led by class member or guest speaker.

Room 105 (First Floor)
A Sunday school class where all ages are welcome. This class has wonderful open discussion about the Bible and how it applies to life in the 21st century.
