Our nursery is a special place just for children 18 months through 4 years. Nursery care is available during the 8:30 and 10:50am worship services and during the Sunday School hour from 9:40-10:40am. We would love to have your precious children/grandchildren come learn about Jesus with us. Our Church Nursery is located on the second floor in room 205.
Alea Peña, Nursery Coordinator
Any child, 3rd-6th grade, can train to be an acolyte. Acolytes serve Sunday mornings during the 10:50am service. They will learn how to serve as worship leaders by bringing in the light of Christ, and then taking it out for discipleship in the world. Acolyte training takes place each year in the Fall.
C.I.A. stand for Children in Action! Our mission is to get our K-5th graders active in our community and to teach them how it is much greater it is to give than to receive. Our C.I.A. team does mission work in our community that is kid friendly. It empowers and equips them for a greater purpose. C.I.A. meets once a month.
Diane Howell, Children’s Coordinator
Children’s Sunday School, for grades K-5th, gathers on Sunday mornings from 9:40- 10:40am in the Children’s Wing on the third floor. Children will learn about the Bible and God’s love through music, games, art, drama, and science.
Children ages pre-k through 2nd grade are invited to Kidz Worship during the 10:50am traditional worship service in the sanctuary. These children should attend worship with their families and then, after the children’s moment in worship the children may leave with Mrs. Diane for Bible stories, games, and craft activities in the Children’s Wing. Children will then return back to the sanctuary for communion or the last hymn.
Pecan Street Kidz
For families worshipping at Pecan Street Mission from 10:00-11:30am, there are opportunities built right into the worship experience. We encourage children to attend worship with their family and then, after music and prayer, children will transition into the Pecan Street Kidz Room for a lesson just for them. Children will return to worship for the closing song.
