Our active adult Sunday school classes are the perfect way to get connected to the FUMC Decatur family. Sunday school classes meet at 9:40 on Sunday mornings.

Our adult bible study meets at 10am in room 209 on Wednesdays. This group is led by Pastor Nick McRae.

Youth Ministry

Youth in grades 6th -12th experience spiritual growth, fellowship, and opportunities for meaningful service. Students dig into scripture, worship, and wrestle with challenging questions in Sunday school, Sunday night, and Wednesday night activities. Throughout the year students develop their faith and build close friendships through participation in camps, mission trips, retreats, and fun outings.

Children's Ministry

Our vibrant children's ministry offers engaging opportunities for Christian growth and fellowship for children ages 4- 5th grade. Scripture-centered Sunday school lessons use songs, crafts, and games to bring the bible to life. Yearly events like our Easter egg hunt, vacation bible school, trunk-or-treat, and the hot chocolate hay ride provide fun family traditions. Meaningful mission work, like maintaining the FUMC blessing box, helps children grow in their faith as they learn to love God and love others.

Our trained and background checked nursery care team and clean, well equipped nursery provides a safe and fun environment for children ages 0-4 years during worship services, Sunday school, Reconnect and many church events.

ReConnect meets on Wednesday evenings in the spring and fall. Each evening begins with a meal at 5:45pm before breaking into small groups for all ages from 6:30 - 7:30pm.

Our traditional church choir practices each Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm and leads the congregation in worship each Sunday in the 10:50 service.
