Meredith Lyons

Meredith Lyons graduated from high school in Keller and attended UNT where she received a degree in History, English, and Education. She went on to teach middle school in Trophy Club. She married her husband Patrick in 2005 and stepped out of the classroom to stay home and raise her 3 daughters Abigail (15), Hannah (14), and Sadie (12). Long time residents of Roanoke, Meredith and Patrick attended Keller UMC. At Keller UMC, Meredith spent nearly a decade volunteering with the Children’s ministry as a small group leader, Sunday school teacher, and VBS leader. Meredith and Patrick moved to Wise County in 2019 where they found a welcoming church home at FUMC of Bridgeport. Meredith is looking forward to meeting the children and families of FUMC Decatur and working with the whole church to nurture a thriving children’s ministry.
