Live Thankfully!

Did you know that 47.1% of students in Decatur ISD qualify as “economically disadvantaged”?

Many of these kids come from families struggling through food insecurity – not being able to consistently put food on the table. During the semester, many of these students receive breakfast & lunch at school, but during the holiday break many go without this consistent source of nourishment. We are excited this Advent to again partner with Live Thankfully in their 7th-year of rallying the Wise County community to provide meals for 600 families this Christmas!
So this Sunday, bring bags of non-perishable food items (soup, veggies, peanut butter, snacks, fruits, mac & cheese, cereal, pasta, beans, etc.).
What better witness to the coming of Emmanuel – God with Us – than by being the hands & feet of Jesus to our neighbors facing down hunger this winter?
